How to stop Google from spying on you

zzzz3edf

For many years, Google’s search software has been recording all of your online searches and surfing as well as recording every conversation you have had online. All of your entire history with Google can be viewed at your own individual Google history page. Most people aren’t even aware of its existence.

This is especially so when using a mobile device like your cell phone. While you may think that this can be some sort of special history about you, reminding you of certain things, it can also be a wake up call with regard to how much private information about you is out there being collected. If you have an Android device or phone, the software is immediately activated every time you state, “OK, Google”.

When you go to your personal history page, you will immediately see everywhere on the web you have ever been. Google states, of course, that all of this monitoring and collection of data will never be sold or used against you. That is their claim. They only want, it states, to make your browsing experience of the web easier and more enjoyable.

The stats are staggering. Google handles over 40,000 search queries every second. That’s nearly 4 billion searches a day. Worldwide, Google processes over one trillion searches a year. Google then stores all of this data in personal histories. The affect could be staggering. Not only could Google influence, or even control, the daily life of the world, but the data is so massive that they could actually predict the future with it by having the data reveal trends.

How to deactivate all of this:

  • First, head out to: history.google.com. It contains links both to your recording as well as your browsing history.
  • To delete particular files, just check and select a box then go back to the top and click “delete”. If you are looking to dissolve everything, click on “more”, choose “delete options” and then pick “advanced”.
  • To prevent it in the future, never use voice recognition searches for any reason and turn off the virtual assistant function.
