The smart lock does seem to have a bright future as something that can be more reliable and safer than current lock systems. While the price may still be a bit high for some people (the average cost from August, the largest maker of the smart lock right now, is around $250), there are signs that the prices will come down as more locks are available in the marketplace, giving you a chance to get a better locking technology for your home or business.
